Tom Brady announced via his Instagram on Feb. 1, 2022 that he will be officially retiring from the NFL, just a few weeks after the Los Angeles Rams beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their NFC Divisional playoff bout.

Rumors about Brady's retirement have circulated throughout NFL news for what seems like a decade, as he has played well past the league's average age and toppled numerous longevity records throughout his career. Brady is widely considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, as he has won an all-time high seven Super Bowls, two more than any other player.

"I personally think he retired because he's bored," said Isaac Jones, former football player and current New Orleans Saints fan. "There is nothing left for him to prove, so I'm not surprised that he decided to leave."

Jason Randall, a 46-year-old lifelong Chicago Bears fan, believes that Brady is not the greatest of all time, but one of the greatest.

"I don't think he is number one, but he is definitely top five," said Randall. "I would have to put Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Brett Favre in there too, but Brady has changed the game of football too."

Brady finishes his career as the all-time leader in NFL passing yards, passing touchdowns, completions, playoff wins, playoff passing yards, playoff passing touchdowns, and, as mentioned before, super bowl wins.
